I realise this is not very helpful in working out what is going on and the fact nobody else seems to be reporting a similar problem shows it is something specific to my system that you probably can't easily diagnose but if you have any ideas why the database is reporting a lock when there is no. If the program or system did crash then I would understand the lock issue but as I always close down cleanly it is hard to comprehend what is happening. ![]() This allows me to work on adding new items but it is a tedious process just to use the app. The only way to get around this is that I have a baseline copy of the data directory that I copy back across over the top of my live version, run Data Crow afresh and then restore my last good backup. ![]() The odd thing is that there is no dc.lck file present when DC is reporting this problem. I close the program normally after doing a (successful) backup and then the next day when I try to launch it I often (but not every time) get the locked message. Well this is a weird problem that has been more noticeable since I updated to 3.4.17.
